Let me start by saying that I know people abused this in the past and that is was a terrible thing. I’m just curious what the most lucrative item (if any) can be bought with karma and immediately turned around for gold. No mystic forging, no trade posting, just selling right back to a vendor.

Side note: I know in the past I could use 3 karma to get 1 copper, but now I can’t find that anymore.

Karma Items are not supposed to be able to be converted to gold,silver,copper coins. They fixed this bug a while back and banned a bunch of people who did this in mass quantities.

So there are no karma items that can be converted to gold/silver/copper? Even if the conversion rate is poor, like 5 karma to 1 copper?

Buy temple gear for 42k karma each and stick 4 pieces in the forge.

Why would you want to convert Karma to Gold anyways? Karma is much, much harder to acquire and you need over 750k Karma (sometimes over 1 Million) to make a Legendary for your character if you do everything from start to finish.

Some people don’t like how flashy Legendary weapons are. They just want the gold for something else.

The best I’ve found is to buy level 80 masterwork weapons for karma. Stick them all into the forge, sell whatever comes out.

Actually yeah, I would love to be azble to use the tens of thousands of karma I have. I don’t necessarily need gold but craft mats would be a start. Obviously this is sanctioned by ANET considering all the craft mats that are available for karma (apples, bananas, avacados, etc).

I would be happy with an inflated price actually. especially for those times when I just needed a few of one thing or another. I don’t see how this would unbalance anything, bots can’t farm for karma very well.

It was imbalanced, which is why they changed it a few weeks into the game and made everything you bought with karma un-TP and un-salvageable.

The best thing to do is MF’ing stuff and selling the item you get back (or turning that item into ectos. 35s ectos. kitten )
