Keep Playing or No?
It depends on how often you’ll be running WvW. My FPS is below 30 the vast majority of the time, and below 20 in cities, but I do fine.

there are people out there running at even lower frames/graphics settings than you are and you want to return the game over it even though you said its one of the best mmorpgs out there?
I normally play on a laptop on lowest settings at like 15 fps max. I will get a better computer at some point soon but returning the game until I do has never even crossed my mind.
Seems like a poor reason to drop the game when you’re enjoying it. Everybody (save a select few) lags in the right places, namely Lion’s Arch and WvW sieges. This is nothing new in MMO’s. Those areas tax even the best systems. And, frankly, sitting above 30 fps for the rest of the game is actually pretty good.
That said, if you want a more specific answer we’ll need two bits of info from you: 1, what video settings and resolution are you currently running the game on? Lowest? Medium? Ultra? 2, what are the exact hardware specs on your computer. We can’t get that info just from looking up the model, as models are frequently sold with separate pricing tiers and, thus, different hardware kits.
Is the lag bad enough that the game is unplayable for you? Or at least bad enough that you don’t enjoy playing?
If not then keep the game and keep playing. If it is that bad then keep it anyway, so you’ve got it when you get a better computer.

If you’re going to wait until you upgrade your PC, you may as well hold onto your GW2 game, since it will still be there when you’re ready to play it again.

that is the beauty of gw2’s buisness model, once you got the game you won it for life (or at least until the servers should shut down :P, which i ofc don’t expect to be anytime soon)
I don’t have a very good computer either. Game is playable on high settings up till 12 FPS. Below that I have to turn to lower settings. This only happens with big zergs in WvW or with dragonfights like the claw of jormag. So it is very playable even with a lesser computer. I never had an unplayble game on lower settings except for the karka event in lion’s arch (wich many people had problems with).
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
I wish I had 40-50 fps… that is good.
I have no issues with my old clunker, except in WvW, where there are a ton of ppl, then it bogs down.
I say keep it:)
