Key Farming
There is a fantastic new site on the internet ^^

Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
I don’t remember seeing that post but this guide looks pretty good. http://www.gunnars-hold.eu/threads/1816-Guide-Black-Lion-Key-Farming
There are also various youtube videos you can watch. WoodenPotatoes for example put one out (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCSdlhvdmyc) but there are others.
I tried googling and searching the forums for the specific post I was looking for before I posted here.
I am checking out the link Astral Projections posted… very in depth. Thanks Astral!
Wooden Potatoes has a video on Youtube that gives you a lot of background on setting up for key running (besides the accepted best path).

Fastest way I have done it is 20 – 25 min. Create a warrior or guardian and make him a commoner, everything else doesn’t matter. Buy a level 0 sword preferably green and use the wp, its ok you get copper and stuff u can salvage for it. Done! 1 key Mr
PS oh and skip all dialogues
My standby is a Human / Commoner / Guardian with a staff….. Never takes longer than 22 min (and I’ve done it in 18 before). This is solo.
With more players assisting, I have seen videos of creation to Key reward in just under 15 minutes. I’m sure it can be done a bit quicker with some luck.

Any particular reason you chose Guardian over Warrior? I understand that using Whirling Wrath is a little more flexible and about the same dps as 100b (while allowing you to move).
The major advantage to running Warrior is Rush, Whirlwind Attack, Leap combo. Having a Warhorn is unnecessary, but if you can (which you probably won’t) get the effect of is extremely helpful. Actually, you probably won’t get Rush until the end, either.
The reasons you choose Guardian over Warrior is 1: Guardian greatsword scales with power better. 2: You gain might on the 3rd hit. 3: Blind is useful. 4: Lots of burn and AoE with Symbol of Wrath.
Guardian is plenty fast if you spam dodge and leap running from instance to instance. I do 14-16 minute runs on my Guardian solo. 14 being really good, 16 being bad.
In the tutorial you don’t have to do any talking, just go straight to Logan (or around the fort if the gates are closed). Have your map pulled up before selecting your rewards, they’ll over lap then you can select and waypoint instantly
Could you take a screenshot of the map pulled up before selecting rewards? You still have to talk to the Scout, so that confuses me.
And again, the Warrior mobility is greater than Guardian, but I’ll agree with the power scaling.
Also, if you skip past the gates, you can skip the Tutorial entirely (or directly to the boss fight, depending on where the event is at). Pretty nifty.
Guardian STAFF #3 is very flexible swiftness (can get 15 sec for a 5 sec wait) AND damage. #2 can give you a HUGE heal in the later instances while being an effective short recharge damage source and # 1 tags tons of salvage (granted copper and Jute….but PROMOTION).
Burning from Virtue is very effective with #1 staff on the lower levels to clear mobs FAST.
I found from MY experience, trying to swap weapons was just too much work, so I stick with a single weapons. Note that to break up the monontany, I run Warrior GS or Axe/Warhorn (not crazy about Sword/Warhorn tho it does give some extra mobility). I also occasionally run Thief Shortbow and several different weapon sets of Ranger (tho not as much as Guardian or Warrior).

I don’t have a screen, I might get one tomorrow but an example. When you do the first mission, where you fight Big Nose Ted at the bar and Andrew gets hurt. After you finish beating Ted and head down stairs and Logan starts talking after you skip the cutscene, you can pull up the map and wait for the reward to pull up over the map, accept it, then waypoint.
Another example that’s a little different, after you bring the medicine up to Andrew and go back down stairs to talk to Logan, when he says “Undercover work is tricky. To pull this off you’ll have to eat, breathe, think and stink like a bandit”. As soon as he says “think” you can waypoint because at the time the instance is over and you can grab your reward/activate the next quest on the way to it. This is the only one you do it on because on the others you get to your next destination before the reward appears
