So I want to key bind my stupid mouse wheel the game does NOT let me, which is a totally viable key to use in many modern games !!!!

Now since YOU a.net do not provide this I will have to get creative !!!
no I don’t want stupid macros !
no i don’t want any advantage !

Just want to be able to use my stupid mouse wheel alright !!!

Now they’re telling me I could get banned for doing something they should already provide an option for !!!

How come using action mode mod of whatever to turn the game into a total action based game does NOT get you banned confirmed by devs but trying to bind your mouse wheel WILL !!!

Seriously ??

I want a response that using a program (X-mouse) to allow me to do something YOU should already provide will not get me banned !!!

All i want is to use my mouse wheel for key binding is that to much to ask ?

I’ve asked for this to be added to the game since beta and not a word from YOU !

Latinkuro, if you see the thread written by Gaile does not say that the use of ANY third party program will ban you, but the use of those which give you an advantage over others or modify the client in some way.

Yes, I primarily use my mouse wheel in other games for targeting.
example mouse wheel down= nearest target
mouse wheel up = next target

right now I can only use middle click which is my normal jump button.

yeah, that is a big maybe he/she wrote…
I don’t dabble in maybe’s !
the combat mod received an official answer saying you will NOT get banned for using combat mod or whatever the name of the mod is.

I ask for nothing less and nothing more.

Well a lot of people have talked openly and repeatedly about using gaming mice and the bundled software to bind mouse buttons to different commands, and none of them have mentioned being banned. Anet haven’t said anything against it either as long as it’s 1:1 binding, but I’m not sure if they’ve explicitly said it’s allowed.

I can’t see how using a seperate program is any different. As long as you’re binding one key press to one mouse button press rather than using it to create macros it’s fine.
