Guild Wars 2

I have been trying to come up with a good set of keybinds. So far I have:

1-5 Weapon skills
F1-F5 Profession
WASD – Forward, Left strafe, Back, Right strafe (Turn with mouse, action camera – left crtl toggle)
Q – Healing
E, R, F – Utility 1-3
C – Elite
G – Interact
~ – Weapon Swap

The issue here is that even though I can do my main skills with little movement, my profession skills on F1-5 are still a reach. I can’t figure out anywhere else to put them, though.

If you have the funds I suggest getting a gaming mouse. From my experience it will really improve your game play. Personally I use a Logitech G600. Almost every skill I use and weapon swap is on thumb buttons. I was a bit intimidated by it at first because I was used to using the keyboard so much. But once I got used to it and assigned the buttons that felt natural my game play improved by a large margin.

My profession skills are on ZXCECapsLock(not really CapsLock, it is the CapsLock key remaped to F5). Utilities are on my mouse with modifier keys.

I’m only missing 0 elite which I couldn’t be bothered or too lazy to change

I use:
W – Forward
A – Strafe left
S – Backward
D – Strafe right

Middle mouse – dodge
CTRL+F – Weapon swap
1 to 5 – weapon skills
CTRL+1 to 5 – Heal, utilities and elite
ALT+1 to 5 – Profession skills

Q – Toggle snap ground target
E – About face

My modifiers are bound to mouse side buttons, so I don’t have to reach the keyboard ones.

I think the bottom row (\, x, c, v) are your best bet. Or shift your whole set-up to the right and use 1, q, a, z for profession skills.

But it depends on what’s comfortable for you.

If you have the money, also consider a gaming keypad like the razer orbweaver. I use that with a mmo mouse, so my thumbs control all my weapon, utility and F skills. I like it because I can use my skills without interrupting my movement or dodges.

I never use modifier keys. I think its time I switched to ESDF
