LF (RP Server) Info
Looking to find out which server has the best population for RP, I’ve heard of TC, and a few EU servers. Though I hear very nice and very bad things about TC. Can I get some opinions and facts?
It actually doesn’t matter which world you sign up for, unless you WvW: in PvE, everyone is grouped together, with priority going to (in order) party members, friends, guildies, and (last) server.
That said, most folks interested primarily in pick-up role playing (as opposed to organized or scheduled RP) tend to choose TC for NA, because of tradition; no other world has ever been considered for RP (at least, never by enough people to make it a destination choice). And you do have a somewhat better chance of running into other RPers in the main cities (unless there are events or other reasons people might be flocking there).
I joined TC for reasons unrelated to RP and I’ve found it a great place for RP and PvE generally. For what it’s worth, people I know who swapped from TC (both before and after megaservers) have the impression that TC is friendlier, too.
tl;dr choose TC if you’re interested in RP (but it won’t matter much in the long run).
