So I am using the LFG Tool and notice that there are no low level (10-30) parties (or anything for that matter). I may see some lvl 80 groups going for high level dungeons…but that’s it. Am I missing something? Does no one use this tool? Are people joining up with one another some place else?

There is no content in the game that actually requires low level characters to group up. All there is below level 30 is open world events, which are mostly solo-able. There are “group events”, but players can just flock to those events without forming parties, and disperse when it ends (because dynamic events typically only last a few minutes, especially at low levels).

The LFG tool is mostly geared towards story dungeons (the lowest of which requires level 30), explorable dungeons (which is mostly aimed at level 80) and Fractals of the Mists (which is explicitly aimed at level 80). It can also be used for Living World events (which is currently Halloween), as well as WvW and certain larger world events (again, mostly in high-level areas).

If you want to team up for some casual exploration of level 10-30 open world content, you are probably better off asking in the mapchat of the zone you want to explore, or perhaps in the nearest city.

The LFG tool also fills remarkably fast. It’s not uncommon to start a group and have it filled within 5 seconds. It may be that you’re not seeing any groups because they’re created and filled too fast for your browser window to update.

Best thing to do is start your own group and watch it fill up within seconds.

I only ever use the LFG tool for dungeons, everything else I either do on my own or working with (but not in a party) whoever else is around, or I might occasionally join up with people from my guild. But I do see groups either created by people below level 80 or advertising for people below level 80, especially for story dungeons.

Bear in mind that the LFG tool works across all the servers in your region, and between all of them it’s not hard to find 4 other people to do the same dungeon, so parties tend to fill and disappear off the list very quickly.

It often looks empty when I register to start a group for a dungeon or something, but once I start a LFG group they fill up remarkably fast. It is very functional OP, and If you use it, they will come.
