Legendary/Skill Points
There are essentially unlimited numbers of skill points you can get. Each time you level, and you will continue to gain exp after reaching level 80, you get a skill point. Skill points are in various loot bags also (scrolls of knowledge).

1 skill point is earned for each of the following:
Completing a skill challenge (202 in game)
Past level 80, for every 254,000 experience points earned (one level).
Dessa’s Experiment Journal (purchased for 35 Fractal Relics)
Scroll of Knowledge
5 skill points are earned for:
Using Sea of Sorrows gained from the History Buff achievement
Levelling up:
8 skill points are earned at levels 20, 26 and 32.
7 skill points are earned at levels 38, 44, 50 and 56.
6 skill points are earned at levels 62, 68, 74 and 80.
Ya pretty much unlimited skills point. You get them by leveling up (event after level 80), you also get a lot of scroll that give you skill points. You shouldn’t have any problem getting enough skill point for a legendary. These weapons take a bit of time to craft so you should have enough when it time to craft it. Once you craft 1 legendary you can put that same skin into another weapons. So you can dual wield incinerator for exemple. But you can equip all the legendary you want, its just the footstep will always be the one of your main hand weapon.
Really, the only thing that would hold you back are the gifts of exploration. Each character can get two of them for map completion, and you need one for a legendary.
Yes, you can equip two legendaries at once – there’s even a title you can get for crafting the same legendary twice. I wouldn’t do that myself, since you can just use the skin again if you want, say, two Incinerators equipped, and it takes a lot of resources to make it. I’d just make a different legendary.
I have an extra 750 skill points sitting in my bank.
You can also get the Mystic Clovers through sPvP which would cut down on the number of SP needed. The reward track will also be giving you Tomes of Knowledge so that will give you more SP as well.
I have 940 skill points on my guardian plus 1000 in bank
so yea skill points are easy to get.
On the other side of that coin, you can earn significant gold per SP.
50s – 1g per SP is easy to get (but may take a bit of clicking and some TP activity).
1.5 – 3g SP can be done, but takes a LOT of clicking and time waiting on the TP to buy / sell stacks of crafting materials.
+3g per SP (I’ve seen claims of +5g / SP) is apparently possible, but requires savy TP skills and lots of time buying and selling materials as well as some advantageous fluctuation in the GW2 commodities markets.
I have tons of SP lying in the bank and on all my characters, but I’m just to lazy to turn them into gold (I have no interest in crafting a Legendary….that could change if I ever get a Precursor to drop).
Fate is just the weight of circumstances
That’s the way that lady luck dances
This thread made me curious enough to log into each of my level 80s to check.
Skill points used in crafting: ~1300
character’s unused skill points: 1294
Scrolls in inventory: 1010
All my characters were grandfathered into the trait system so they didn’t have to use skill points for that but once you’re done, skill points gain rapidly.
