I’ve been trying to make a legendary I’m either going for bolt, twilight, judgment or flameseeker. All I need left is the lodestones, precursor, t6 materials and ecto’s.

my questions are:
Any update on precursors becoming easier to get?
Best way to get tier 6 Mats?
Lastly, better to buy ecto’s or salvage rares? Best way to get rares?

Precursor crafting should be arriving either by the end of this year or early next year but don’t assume that will mean they will be cheaper.

I guess it might not be too bad if you are doing events there but the last time I tried what you mentioned I was left wondering where all the mobs where. When you are trying to run through stuff in Cursed Shore the place feels packed but when you actually go there and try to farm stuff it feels empty.

Anyone else have a opinion?

Somebody I met in a dungeon shared some ingenious advice today: Use your level 75-80 dungeon tokens to buy rare armor, and salvage that armor for ectos. The other, obvious way to get rares is from world bosses. The tier 6 mats will come from making clovers, otherwise just buy them as the last thing you do.

for forging my pre what im doing is running dungeons and getting the dungeon weapons to forge as well as any rares i pick up. since i know i want dusk i just collect 4 GS and chuck em in, ill either get my pre by doing this or save up the gold from playing the game. i intend to do what rhapsody mentioned above too with the rares when i get my pre. as for T6 mats youll get them as you play. i always leave them for last and just but order the when i have enough gold.

Precusors : You either play the Mystic Toilet or you Buy it my accumulating enough gold. For the precusor crafting it was suppose to be in the second half of 2013, but Anet announced that i was now in 2014 (not giving any quarter or specific month).

Ectos : Do dungeons of level 70+ (CoF, CoE and HotW). You can also do Arah, but personnally i prefer to keep those Tokens for skins. Otherwise keep doing a bit of World Events, champ train at Frostgorge Sound and Fractal (higher level). This way you gonna get your ectos while having fun and not doing the same thing over and over.

T6 materials : If you don’t use your laurel anymore you can use them on Heavy Crafting Bag that give you 3 Tier 6 for 1 laurels (only Fine T6 so its really good). Also check on a regular basis their prices on the TP. Sometime, their cost drop drastically during a short period of time. If you don’t want to check that often but have a couple of gold that you don’t use (exemple if you are saving for your precusor but aint quite there yet). You can put a order on some T6 at a low price. This way you could get them in a couple of week at this price if you guested right. Use gw2spidy to see what range of price in which T6 fluctuated so you can guest at which price you could hope to get your order fill eventually. For exemple two days ago my guildmates got its order of Elaborate Totems (100 or them) at the price of 14.5 silver each while now they are more at 17-18 silver each and they continue to go higher. At the end, when you get everything else, buy all the T6 you still need.

Hmm ill run the dungeons see where that gets me. All I need left is ectos, precursor and T6 mats and lodestones. (sitting on which legendary to get still. Either bolt twilight or flameseeker.)
