I saw a post where they link chat codes for LI up until 36, but how can i find bigger numbers? Like what should i change in the chat code to get a higher LI’s code?

Check out the wiki, it has some useful info on this:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chat_link_format

Basically it helps to know some basic math here. Such as, binary to base-16 conversion. Note that each single character in the chat link code used in-game is made up of 6 individual bits (log2(64)). Thus binary representation is possible but it would prove extremely tedious if doing by hand. If you’re particularly clever you’ll find an easier way to relate binary to chat link code, saving on the space and clutter.

The wiki does also touch on quantities in a linked page, however sometimes the best way to learn is using a demonstration. Let’s take an unassuming choice of Milling stones, to prove the point. We can choose any item but this item is just in plentiful supply and it’s just plainly junk, tho not classified as such. You can test out the in-game chat links to validate this if needed. I was mainly just fooling around today brushing up on my JS, so this is what I came up with:

Hate to be an kitten but don’t be one of the ppl that link high LI without actually having them. You can either find a group that has no interest in LI’s or one that you can get into with what you have.

Also consider that you can always try whispering the commander about the situation, I think you’ll find most ppl are reasonable and will let you at least try(and boot you if you suck but hey a chance is a chance) even if you lack the LIs that they require.

Best of luck

Ps. Only saying this because unhealthy behaviour such as linking stuff you do not have creates a situation where no one can relax while pugging raids because “one mistake = kick” – mentality is becoming a thing because of people who link lots but know nothing.

I fully 100% support ur mindset too. Like I say, don’t link LI if u don’t think ur proficient enough. You will do more harm than help and there will be consequence if u screw up and they find out. No group likes a liability in a team member. I mean tho u have to be realistic about it too. If you have relatively close LI, don’t hesitate to join cos u think ur not good enough.. you will be. At a certain point, say after get a couple kills on a boss, u might feel confident to test out unsafe waters. It’s entirely up to individual when they feel that they hit this point. But again, be realistic and do not overstretch yourself

Example, from 2 months of raiding I have only 40 LI since I spent first couple weeks practicing and learning bosses. But now I’ve got multiple kills on every boss, even matt. So sometimes I will test out the waters to push myself further, and it works out fine no problem. I join a 200+ LI group, get boss kill on first try, then leave. I’m most comfortable with lower LI reqs though.. 60-100 LI since they are most accepting, and will take couple LI less then they ask for. Be realistic about it.. for such groups it does not make sense to link full stack of LI, they will find it very suspicious that u don’t know simple mechanics.

Practice with regular or exp groups if you want, then once ur comfortable join LI or killproof groups. Be as honest as u can and try not to stretch the truth
