I just got myself Tequatl’s hoard, which means I can choose any ascended tequatl weapon. The weapon I like the most is the longbow. However, problem is that I happen to have legendary longbow Kudzu (which looks worse than tequatl’s longbow imo).

So my question is: Can I use transmutation crystal on my Kudzu, and turn tequatl’s longbow into legendary with legendary stats, meaning that I can swap the stats on my tequatl’s longbow? And will tequatl’s longbow have the legendary colour name instead of ascended colour name?

Both are rather ugly … but yes. If you place some other skin on a legendary it will retain the stat switching ability. Transmuted items show up with the color of the highest rarity item used so yes to the colors too.
