If you transmute your legendary stats with another exotic stats because you don’t like the legendary wep stats, does it changes the legendary name or affects it in any other way? That goes for the sigil aswell. If u change it does it changes the name. And we all know that the legendary weps will get a boost in stats when the new ascended weps will be released. So if u transmute the stats of the legendary, will you lose that future boost?

No, in a recent patch what they did is that when you transmute things it retains the higher level feature.

For instance.

A item green quality transmuted with B item blue quality. No matter which skin you choose and which stats you choose the item will come out green quality.

this was done primarily to fix the issue when you transmute a legendary.

From the January 28th Game Notes file:

Transmuting weapons now preserves the higher rarity of the two items.

I would really appreciate an answer from a dev or somebody that knows anything about this. Someone that transmuted his Legendary modifying its stats and or/sigil.
