Guild Wars 2

So i just got a randome group becaus I would like to farm some tokens in there.

We all had no real clue what way does what so we choos at randome.

After we picked the 3 way we run through the Asura gate and got into the cut secene. After that 3 Inquest guys came running from god knows where to fight us.
We beat them and moved on.
We came to the big golem where the Inquest agrues 6 more Inquest guys came running from the far back for some reasone and the boss got aggro.
We tried to fight and got nucked down.
Ok np we thought maybe we run to much in.
Next try ranger pulls at 1200 range. Boss moves to us the 6 guys come runnig form afar again. We try to run, but they chase us all the way back.

So could someone explain how you can amke the boss without pulling the 6 mobs?
You can’t possibly do both at the same time. The boss is tanky and uses quite a lof of knock backs and the inquest guys apply all kind of conditons in an AoE.

So any help? Did we do something wrong?
