Levelling Faster
If you don’t mind doing thing repeatedly, joining the Queensdale chain event farm can be quick to obtain XP. For all levels, I found doing personal story in fact has very good XP. Once you reach lvl 40 or so, I suggest you go to Harathi Hinterland to do the Modniir chain. Farm it over and over to get large amount of loot and XP. If you can find friends take you to do dungeon, it gives large amount of XP too. Also, do all the world boss events you can. Finally, when you have money to spend, crafting is the fastest way to level up.
It’s not like level 80 events are anymore engaging than level 20 ones. This game doesn’t have “end content” the way a lot of MMOs are designed but spreads them though all level ranges.
RIP City of Heroes
If you have gold, or cash to turn into gold, you can craft to very close to 80 in about 4-5 hours, using the “fast” crafting recipes from gw2craft.net. Have fun
Something you can do with…relative…quickness, is sPvP. for 1500 Glory and 20s you can get a Tome of Knowledge, which will give you 1 level up.
a wonderful, beautiful thing. Technically your buying a level 80 for approximately 117k Glory and 15g 60s.
fastest ways to level a character in GW2:
-do hearts. ignore the ones that take a while
-reach as many waypoints as possible. I got from 75 to 80 just running from LA south to Arah in Cursed Shore.
-crafting. getting a single craft to 400 should net you about 10 levels. you will see most of this from 300 up. Discovery is key.
-do as many of the Daily achievements each day as you can, not just the required 5 for the chest.
-power through your personal story when you are far over leveled for it. these rewards scale and will give you a lot.
-do easy, fast dungeon paths each day. ACp3, CoFp1 and HotWp1 all take about 12-20 minutes each.
-use food items that give XP boosts. It not much but it does add up.
-when roaming, kill random mobs in far off places. the longer a single enemy stays alive the more bonus exp it gives.
