Hey.

I know that it’s a strange question, but in trying to flesh out some of the background fluff for my characters, I decided to make Captain Langmar an (indirectly) important character in one of the family’s backgrounds.

then I realized that nobody even knows her first name. I don’t remember seeing it in GW1 during EotN, WiK or even in pre-Searing.

I know I could technically just make one up, but it thought I’d check and see if maybe whoever dreamed her up at A.net had a first name imagined up for her as well.

She never had a first name, at least none that GW1 developers put into the game or mentioned it elsewhere. If they did, it would’ve been added to the GW1 wiki long ago. So… just make one up

I thought Langmar was her first name. Dunno why, but it always came off as her first name unlike NPCs like, say, Farmer Dirk or Captain Greywind.

I haven’t seen such mention in GW2 and I know there’s none in GW1. She’s always just “Captain Langmar” (except in pre where it’s Lieutenant, of course). If Langmar’s a surname, then she’s nameless for the first, unless someone found some grave of hers in Harathi Hinterlands.
