Guild Wars 2

Currently I have 9 character slots and I am looking for the limit per account. I want a male and female version of each profession so a total of 18 slots, Has anyone hit the limit?

I was wondering how you got 9? On my character screen I can have only 5! O.O

you can buy more slots using gems.
Aren’t there 8 professions so you’d need 16 not 18 slots.
Don’t know of a limit. I haven’t bought any yet.

There are people claiming to have 40. Generally what I have seen is that it should be at least 20, but I have yet to see anything definitive posted from Anet.

I wish you didn’t get a scrollbar past 7. Seems there’s plenty of room. Maybe the presence or absence of a scrollbar could scale with your screen resolution or something.

Its actually cheaper to buy a whole new account than buying 5 more slots+ bank space for the new slots

Not when you can trade in-game gold for gems.
