I want a long slim elegant sword. Fractal and Sclerite has the look I want and looks pretty long and slim. Unfortunately both are RNG. I’m farming fotm but before that, any suggestion for an alternative that’s easier to obtain?

But lionguard is definitely no XD It is soooooo short it looks like a dagger!

Ah true, the Lionguard is shorter, was more looking for it being slim. Seraph looks to be the same lenght from the screenshots.

You might like the rinblade or the krytan sword. They aren’t terribly fancy, but they are long and slender and I personally like their simplicity. They are also easy to come by either by trading post or the human cultural weapons (tiers 1 and 2).’

Try the pvp locker after looking over Dulfy’s sword gallery. I want to say all swords are there, but last night I couldn’t find a hammer in there so there might be a sword or two missing.

Dear Anet: please make Aetherblade Rapiers available.

Until then: Sylvari t3 sword is a nice single edged weapon with good length if you don’t mind the plant-and-crystal feel.

Whisper’s Sword is also a good fit but some people are turned off by the jointed blade.

Currently the easiest to acquire for “elegant and single edged” goes to the Ceremonial Sabre though it’s more of an asian/canthan feel than an elegant western blade.

… I mean, it’s rather thick, not slender, but it’s definitely the longest “cold weapon” in the game :P

fiery dragon sword is pretty long too
and infinite light

There is the Bonetti’s Rapier, it’s about 60-70% the length of my character. It’s also very slim with an elegant handle.
