Looking for a Ranged Class that can...

Hold it’s own in sPvP/WvW, Both in a Party/Zerg and Solo/Roaming.
Is a Valued/Preferred asset in Dungeons and other related PvE content.
Is fairly flexible and is challenging to learn but very rewarding as you improve.
Levels at a decent level of ease, has CC and is multifaceted in terms of meta-builds, like Power/Crit/Condi ect. Isn’t slow as a brick rolling up hill in terms of mobility and dodge/avoid.

Hahaha, we all are =)

The only thing I can think of that might suit that would be a greatsword mesmer.

Ele partially but doesn’t have great variety in builds and isn’t great at range.
Warrior partially but you’d probably have to switch from rifle to other weapons a lot, especially in dungeons (not challenging)
Ranger partially but not an assesst anywhere except underwater

hmmm, I disagree with Ethics completly.

Both rangers and warriors are not challenging to learn. They are easy to learn but hard to get outstanding at it.

Ele, mesmer, necromancer and engineer are your targets.

Ele: very weak, low armor, low health. deals huge amounts of damage. asks a lot of deidcation, but can kill really quick. finding a good balance between protection and damage is challenging. but if done right you can be awesome.
Necromancer: I dont have personal experience with them, but they have nice health and use minions as tank
Mesmer: due to clones a lot of crowd control, good damage, dodge and avoid is a bit of anissue. but specially the leave a clone when dodge trait is very nice.
Engineer: I think you should try this one cause it has most of the things your asking for. It is a special ops meaning it can forevill almost any role. The riffle can hold melee at a distance all the time and still deal a nice punch. whenever you are overcrowded you can easily change to a kit to deal a lot of AoE. CC is therefor no problem. You can be a pretty good healer for you and your party, as well as a condition remover. downside is that each role takes practise and training. so it is challenging to master. but thats what your looking for
