Guild Wars 2

Me and my friend have been server hopping looking for a UK based server, or even one that speaks mostly English. Everywhere we go there’s only people speaking foreign languages in map which is frustrating.

So which servers are the unofficial English speaking servers? Desolation seems perma full lol. Thanks for any help.

We are on gandara but see more people speaking french than english. Maybe they are just more vocal in map but its pretty annoying :P

Piken Square is heavily English-speaking, perhaps because it’s the “unofficial RP server” for EU English speakers – so ever furriners speak English on it

Zomby, may I also ask what your play preference is?
Such as PvE, dungeons, PvP etc.?

For overall community Gunnar’s Hold is up there with Pike Square both awesome folks on each.

Aurora Glade (which I am on) has a good community with pretty strong guild activity. It is leaning to a more ‘serious’ side such as Dungeons and PvP. However it is populated with folks like me that help out new folks when we can.

All of the mentioned are prodominately English speaking from my experience.
If you’re looking for some folks about their server experience ask the folks over at Operation: Union.

We play PVE and sPVP (casual) will try Gunnars hold later. Thanks for replies.
Not to be rude but i do think its VERY inconsiderate that people speak French, German and Spanish on blank European serves when they have about 7 each dedicated to them.

No problem with native languages in guilds but when in map chat I kinda expect people to speak English on these unspecified servers.

You sure you’re not in an overflow? I’ve been on Gandara since launch and haven’t seen a single player talk french, let alone in map chat.

I really hope they make at least 1 UK server. Seems so weird they didnt.

They are European servers maybe their dedicated servers are fairly full?
It is always good to learn a new language.

Gunnar’s Hold …
Been on it since launch, all map chat I have seen has been in English, apart from one time when I saw a bit of Dutch.

PS: PCGamer has a big guild on this server, if that helps you to decide..
