Guild Wars 2

So I’m new to posting on these forums so forgive me if this is the wrong section.

I’ve been playing GW2 for over a month now and have 2 level 80 toons, but I need advice on what would be fun to play for a third.

I currently have a Guardian, (who I don’t use much anymore) and an ele.

I enjoy high mobility characters who can take a hit and dish out a fair amount of damage, which is why my ele is a D/D Tanky DPS.

Does anyone have any suggestions for another class that could fit a similar role? I’ve been looking at warriors but I’m not sure how mobile they are, and I’ve been toying with the idea of trying to make a tanky Mesmer. I enjoy flashy things so I thought Mesmers would be right up my alley.

Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

Warriors are actually one of the more mobile professions around, given the appropriate weapons and skills. Considering your list of specifications, I’d say they’re right up your alley.

I have a glass cannon mesmer which i made purely for fun, and it is indeed very fun to play. With an army of phantasms applying ~20 stacks of bleed, it never gets old for me :P

It’s would be funnier, if mesmer can have 10 more number of clones.. like Phantom Lancer in DoTa

I’d suggest Mesmer:
while fighting they’re the fastest,maybe on par with Thieves,with blinks,dashes,teleports and such things.

A mesmer can pick his staff and build tanky,becoming a very nice tanky-dps-support.
There are also a lot of (imo viable) builds: glamour builds,crit build,condition build,mantra build,bunker build,shatter build and so on.

However,they lack blocks(they only have aegis provided randomly by chaos storm (and maybe by chaos armor too) and they really lack mobility while not fighting.

imo the funniest class to play.

Full glass thief trolling around on WvW. You can put a whole raiding party on edge, it’s amazing that one player can just shatter a group like that.

I’ve yet to meet a spike thief who came in handy outside of WvW. PvE annihilates any who can’t dodge with perfect accuracy, and in sPvP a proper tank (which I normally gravitate towards) can generally shrug them off unless they pack backup.

Not that they’re useless. On the contrary, in the correct situation they’re incredible. But people tend to over exaggerate their utility otherwise.
