there are a lot of critters or ambient creatures underwater. There are many of these areas on land with the most abundant critters/ambient creatures probably being in the Godslost Swamp area in Queensdale. I’m wondering where is the underwater version of an area like this.

Wayfarer foothills, the salmon in the lake by the underwater passage. Enter near Grawlenfjord.

Also in Lornar’s near the jetsam pirate area and where the preliminary for the ignius chain begins

To me the best spot for this is the southeast corner of Mount Maelstrom. There are tons of crabs scuttling around and almost no aggro mobs unless you tag a hermit crab or a tuna while killing a critter crab. Occasionally a shark wanders in. It’s also a really pretty underwater spot and it’s right next to a waypoint.
