Guild Wars 2

Not really sure if this is the best forum, but I didn’t see one that matched well.

I’m living in Japan, so my play times are pretty much opposite most Americans. I joined an Australian guild, but we’ve been reduced to two active members. Borlis Pass server is just too dead on the off hours and I can’t really do much in the game. Are there any servers that are more active during hours that Australians/Asians would be playing? A guild would be a bonus, but at this time I’m just looking for a more active server.

Input would be appreciated. Thanks.

It seems that Sea of Sorrows is the logical choice for you. Largest Oceanic timezone playerbase.

i hear Island of J has quite a few Aussies.
i’m from Hong Kong, and am on Sanctum of Rall. and a few of my friends are as well. to me at least, there are always people on no matter what time. have a bunch of guildies in the US but i always see them on also.

also, all the above mentioned servers, SoS, IoJ, CD, SoR are all quite active in terms of WvW. PvE it’s not bad in SoR, GMT +8 evenings are usually pretty decent and will always find people running around : )))

I also live in Japan, and Im on Maguuma. I’ve played with aussies, singaporeans and malaysians, so its an interesting mix. The problem with Australian times zones for me is they are starting to go to bed when I want to play. I find my playtime lines up a little better with the east coast US players which is a strong contingent on mags (after they recover from the hurricane >.< )

Also living in Japan. I do believe a large majority of the Japanese population are playing on Jade Quarry.

There is a rather large Japanese-only guild called “Jagapotato [JP]” that has members on various different servers.

My workmate and I live in Tokyo and play on Kaineng. Seems to be plenty of people from NZ/Aus/Taiwan/Singapore – which gives us a nice off-peak WvW slot for kicking butt in the evening.
