I’ve seen plenty screens from other people that show the full quality of their in-game graphics. I used the command line to make mine take as .bmp and it just made a larger low quality file. I got a new gfx card for Christmas so I only really noticed it when I took my first ss with it on (it was still on jpg), and then tried the .bmp feature which I thought would help. I remember in beta making gorgeous super high rez screenshots. What happened?

They removed the option of high-rez screenshots in BWE3

The .bmp screenshots you can take from the game client are also lossless.

In BWE1 and BWE2 there was an option for high-rez screenshots, when you took one of those the game increased the graphic quality to maximum (for a split second to take the picture) AND increased the resolution considerably, like a 4kx4k resolution resulting in super high quality screenshots. Such quality isn’t possible with any third-party program, FRAPS can’t increase the in-game resolution

If you press CTRL + SHIFT + H and then press print screen you’ll get high rez shots. Or at least it appears that way to me .. I notice a significant difference over not using it that way.

CTRL + SHIFT + H will just remove the UI there is no difference in the quality. Try chekcing the resolution of the screenshot, it won’t increase.

Ok so the “High Resolution” option is gone but I’m still having the low quality bmps issue. For now I got a separate app just to take screenshots in order to get the full quality of the textures and shading :/
