I recently came back to the game after a few months of not playing and made a mesmer to try it out. I saw the essence of luck and wasn’t sure exactly what it was so left it in the character’s inventory. Afterwards I deleted that character to try something else out only to realize that the essence of luck was a one time per account thing.

My question is how big a deal is it that I just deleted 5 essence of lucks and is it easy to just replace it?

The one from the mail gives 2500 luck points. In the long run it’s not that hard to replace. Maybe around 2g(so just 2 dungeon runs should be able to replace it).

Edit: Actually just doing dungeons in general will provide plenty of items to salvage for essences of luck.

how much does 2500 luck equate to in terms of magic find anyway?

20% assuming you were at 0% before.

salvaging about 83 green items will replace the loss of that 2500 luck.

Any will do. Haven’t really noticed a huge difference in results between lv80’s and the low level stuff I get in Queensdale. Masterwork does seem better than fine regardless of level.
