This site tells you where you can geat each stat combination. Pick a stat combination, pick a way to get it and start working for it. C: Keep in mind that this page only gives you exotic sets. Ascended weapons and armor can only be crafted, amulet can be gotten for laurels (and WvW badges), accesoires for laurels and ecto or guild commendations, rings in Fractals or laurels and the backpiece can be gotten from Fractals, crafting or living world (you can upgrade the karka backpiece you get with festical tokens to Ascended).

thanks <3 it exists any short of gear tier? like.. legendary is just a dream and should i just aim for ascendent? or go straight for exotic?
As far as gear and builds are concerned. Check out your professions sub forum. The current “meta” for almost any profession is beserker gear. That being said, you can craft, or buy, a full set of exotic, which is great for anything but 10+ level fractals. Or you can craft a set of ascended armor. Which dungeons should you do? All of them. Do the story modes for all the dungeons, do all the paths, either with your guild, or via LFG. Dungeon runs are a great way to earn money, which you’ll need if you are going to craft ascended armor, and your gear can be bought with dungeon tokens.
Gear works like this. It has 3 different stats that provide bonuses to your current stats. Your traits, along with your gear set, is what makes up your “build”. For example, you want to do maximum damage possible. You would be better going with a gear set that provides +power, +precision and + Ferocity. (aka Beserkers), rather than a set that provides +toughness, +condition damage, +healing power. (aka Settlers). And assigning your traits accordingly, (i.e. 6 in power, 6 in precision, 2 in ferocity.)
Here is a list of gear by stats that might help you decide what gear set you want to get to best suit your paticular play style.

Legendary (there are only Legendary weapons) has the same stats as Ascended weapons, but a Legendary weapon allows you to select any stat combo you wish any time while if you want to change stats when owning an Ascended item you need to get a new one. That and Legendaries have fancy skins. And require like ten times more grind.
It’s Fine < Masterwork < Rare < Exotic < Ascended = Legendary. Exotics are extremely easy to get while Ascended may require some work I’d get a set of Exotics first since it’ll be a while until you have full Ascendedand Exotics are very easy to get anyway.
thanks so much you guys. my play style is like you said berserker so i think im gonna try to (grind? buy?) exotic zerker gear (you said it was easy ) then try to go for ascended.
if grind.. what dungeon should i do? or it drops in all of them?
oh and btw it exists tiers inside exotic? like .. ok im gonna buy a exotic GS . it can be a bad exotic weapon ?
If you want exotic berserker gear, you should run CoF (Citadel of Flame), CoE (Crucible of Eternity), or Arah. Those three dungeons offer exotic berserker gear. CoF is very fast and very easy. CoE is easy once you know the mechanics of its bosses. Arah is the toughest dungeon in the game.
And what you need to do is run the dungeons to get tokens. Each dungeon drops a specific type of token. You can trade the tokens in for gear and weapons.
And, once you get full exotics, you might want to expand into other option armors as well if you can get the bank slot for it. I don’t do dungeons (Still working on Map Completion and Jumping Puzzles), so I’ve just been buying my exotics off the TP. I started with a suit of Carrion (It was cheap, offered unique skins, and gave a good balance of direct damage, DoT support, and survivability), but have been working on getting PVT, Berzerkers, and other suits to diversify my available playstyles. Because Zerker’s the meta, it’s the most expensive to outright buy.
Also – there should be traits to unlock as well.

All lvl 80 exotic beserker GS are the same. The only thing that changes is the skin. Ascended quality is the next “tier”. This game doesn’t really do tiers in the MMO traditional sense. Just quality. (i.e. Fine, Masterwork, Rare, Exotic, Ascended, Legendary.)

well if they are all the same why should i buy one for 1000gold ? i can buy one for 3 right? :s sorry im noob here cuz its not the normal thing in others mmo
If you want a full set of berserker gear fast you there is ways you can do it faster.
Do cof p1, p2 and p3 (p3 harder to find group for, also longer and more challenging)
But .. There is a cap on how much dungeon tokens you can earn each day .. So you shouldn’t really do the paths more than once each day.
If you do the story mode also in cof you will unlock a reward track in pvp where you also can get cof dungeon token + 3 weapons and 1 piece of armor for the track, and also a good amount of loot. When you have completed story mode just go in pvp and activate the track in reward track window. You will then progress on the reward track and earn the rewards just by playing. Hot join matches caps you at 25% a day on reward track progress, so after that you have to do arena matches (ranked matches) where you can join in a solo q or with a pre made team in team arena. You can keep repeating the track as much as you wish.
If you get tired of pvp you can also head to edge of the mists (wvw). There you will earn TONS of badges of honor. With those you can also buy gear for about 200-300 badges and 1-2 gold depending on gear (not sure at all about pricing, bad memory)
You will also earn pretty good gold in there. When you enter just look for the blue tag on the map. That is the commander that everyone follows. It requires no brain and is a good time to go make some money when you just want to turn your brain off

The one for 1000g is “Dusk” Its what is called a precurser weapon that is used to make the Legenday weapon “Twilight” (If I’m not mistaken) It’s a HIGHLY sought after and extremely rare weapon. I just grabbed it as an example of a lvl 80 exotic GS with beserker stats to show that all the stats on lvl 80 exotic beserker weapons are the same.

Yes, sigils matter, and some are better than others. And you can replace a sigil in a weapon if you don’t like the one it comes with.

The cheapest weapons (pearl) look kind of sucky. You can get a much better skin for not much more gold. The same goes for gear.
Once u reach level 80, here’s a suggestion on how to gear up:
1) Grind COF dungeon for COF Tokens to buy exotic COF Zerker Gear
Zerker gear stats are: (Power, Precision, Ferocity)
2) Grind to get either Pristine Fractals, Laurels, or Guild Commendations to buy Ascended Accessories. Again, you’ll want Zerker type. Remember, you cannot wear 2 of the same Ascended Accesories.
3) Once you have been fully geared up in Exotics and Ascended Accessories, its time to customize your look. One cheap suggestion is to do a search on level 80 exotic armor pieces on the TP, then sort from the cheapest ones. If you like the look and the price, buy it and unlock the skin if you haven’t already.
4) Now you are fully exotic/ascended accessories geared up AND having the look you want, what to do? Well, you can then GRIND for a Legendary, or you can GRIND daily dungeons and fractals. Or hey even create a new Alt and repeat the process ALL over again. Or you can prepare yourself for Season 2, where you’ll fight more Scarlet. shudder
Welcome to Level 80. It ain’t pretty.

— Every heartbroken Guild Wars fan on GW2
farm and grind, that seems to be the meta in this game…..
That can be said of almost every video game. Especially anything from the RPG genre. :P
the original isn’t grind in the meta nor is it farm, when you reach lvl 20 your journey only started.
try to get that in GW2.
No. Guild Wars 1 was all about the grind and farm. Once you reach level 20, if you wanted anything, you had to farm and grind for mats for it. Every RPG is about “Farm And Grind” of some sort if it expects you to keep playing after completing the story.
Anyway – There are three things that determine the “quality” of Exotic Gear:
1. Skin rarity. Better-looking/lower-dropping skins usually cost more than more common or bland equivalents.
2. Stat Combination desirability. Right now, Berserker Gear is extremely expensive because the combination of Power, Precision, and Ferocity make it the most optimal weapon in PvE, the most popular game style. Runes of Hoelbrak and Strength are likewise expensive because of their synergy. However, PVT gear tends to be mid-cost, since it’s favored by people who like the maximum survivability it gives. On the other hand, Giver’s and Shaman gear tend to be dirt cheap because they give only minimal effect in PvE. However, it’s possible to occasionally snag a low-cost Berzerker item if it doesn’t have “Berserker’s” in the title – though it probably has a fugly skin.
3. Precursor or not. If it’s a precursor, it costs/sells for a bomb. If not, the price is reasonable.
