So I’m buying a new mouse and is razer naga good for GW2 or do you guys recommend any other mouse.

I use Logitech G600. Please take a look at it before buying razer naga. It is much more cheaper and kitten the keys are very well placed.

I use a Madcatz RAT 9 wireless and love the kitten out of it. Fairly cheap too.

Yeah i was looking Mad catz mmo 7 but I don’t know if is good.

Logitech g600 user here, couldn’t be happier. Was thinking about Naga, but Razer cloud system killed that idea real quickly.

I use a Logitech G500s, as I am less inclined to use as many thumb buttons, but still use the three that it has (main one is bound to “dodge”).
I went to the G500s from a Razer Naga Hex.
The Razer’s middle mouse click failed on me after roughly a years use. So far the Logitech has been solid.

As someone that owned a Naga 3 months, then it broke, and I bought a Logitech G600 I have to say go for the Logitech. Not just because my Naga broke in 3 months. But because the G600 is all around superior in my opinion.

But my opinions aside, here is a quantitative comparison from someone who used both a good amount.

- Naga is heavier and more solid. If you like a heavier mouse, that feels very solid, you’ll want the Naga. The G600 feels very light by comparison. Like, I feel like if I punched the G600 it would break. The Naga felt like it would just laugh at me and break my hand.
- Naga is more flexible in shape. It comes with interchangeable parts to change the over all shape of the mouse.
- Naga is smaller all around. Which makes it sort of ironic that the G600 is very notably lighter than the Naga.
- The Logitech’s software is inferior to Razer’s from my experience. In that it is buggier.
- The Naga’s side keys are much harder to get down. They all feel the same. training yourself to press the right ones is very very challenging. The G600 has nicely slanted buttons that help this drastically. It’s much easier to learn the G600.
- G600 has the third clicker they call G-shift. Naga doesn’t have a third clicker. (This is a huge factor in my love of this mouse. The third click is wonderful.)

But i am looking for a mouse that has buttons on it. So either Naga or g600.

I’m casting my vote for the G600 as well. Ive been using it for over a year now and love this thing. I was debating between it and the Naga also. The tipping point that sold me on the G600 was the fact that it saves the profiles on itself, so that I don’t have to redo them every time I switch between my PC and laptop. I can just plug into either and get my game on. The 12 thumb buttons did take a little getting used to (along with using an additional finger for the 3rd clicker aka G-Shift), but the different angles helped a lot.

I’m the owner of both Razer Naga Epic and G600 and should say that this choice is a hard to make one. I’ve been using Naga for over 2 years and switched to G600 only because Naga’s scroll wheel got broken. I liked Naga very much, but as I’ve read other ppls replies in this and other silmilar threads a lot of players say that Razer’s gear tends to be of a very poor make and gets broken in a matter of months or, if you are lucky, works flawlessly for years. That said G600 is not ideal mouse either. While it is superior to Naga in terms of quantity of buttons (Nagas 12 against G600’s 12×2 via Gshift + scroll-wheel side-push buttons) I also find Logitech software to be buggy. In my case it results into random double-clicks instead of normal clicks. Truth be told, if I ever had to make another choice between them, I would be troubled myself as I still like Naga more than G600, but G600 with its G-Shift proved to be more comfortable gamewise. Tough choice.

I bought the Naga when it came out, and hated it with a passion. Too many buttons, not worth the effort, what the hell did I buy.

After a couple of days I got so used to it I couldn’t believe I ever played a game without it. Especially MMOs, since they tend to have many skills.

A mouse is really personal, like an artist’s brush. The only way to find out if it’s to your liking is to actually try it.

I tried the Naga Hex recently. I loved having the 6 buttons on the side, but my pinky finger would cramp like crazy after extended use. The bump on that side of the mouse killed it for me. A lot of people seem to swear by it, though.

I got the last Logitech G602 on the shelf. I love it as it’s the spiritual descendent of the Logitech MX mice I had used before. It’s the only mouse I found that can fit my hand well.

Apparently there are two ways people hold mice. Once is the “claw” grip and the other is the palm grip. If you palm your mouse like me look into some Logitech mice or wider mice otherwise.

The Naga mice are for “claw” gripping people. I had one and gave it away because it just didn’t work with the way I hold my mice.

I just picked up the Logitech G602 wireless—love it..only complaint is the side buttons are too close together for my liking.

I completely understand the love for the G600, it is a fabulous mouse of good quality. I play with one too… having said that, I don’t like it because it just does not fit my hand properly. There are 12 buttons on the side,but I can only reach 6 of them in any sort of comfort, I’ve had to disconnect the 3rd mouse button on the side because I could not reposition the mouse without accidentally triggering it and honestly… its just plain too big for my not-very-large female hands.

If you do decide you’re interested in this mouse I can strongly recommend you try it out somewhere or buy it somewhere where you can return if you are not happy.

I’ve had it for almost a year and I still find my hands cramping and uncomfortable. In fact, so much so that I’ve ended up buying a Razer Orbweaver… now the Orbweaver.. THAT my friend.. THAT is heaven.

Lol.. how personal a mouse is. The two things above are exactly opposite for me, with the exception of quality as it is definitely a fab quality product.

To me the G600 is like a big lump of lead at times… Due to the 3rd mouse G-shift key on the outside it is also incredibly wide.

Ergonomically I can not comfortably lift the mouse to re position it if I have to – for example doing consecutive tight turns or fights in a small area- the mouse is just too heavy and too wide. So I’ve had to disconnect the G-shift key.

I suppose it could also depend on whether you use your mouse to move you char – as I do – or use WSAD.

For GW2, The Razer Deathadder is preferable to the Naga. A Deathadder has higher DPI, but fewer buttons.

I find this preferable because GW2 doesn’t use a million skillbars, and you can bind everything comfortably with the two thumbbuttons, meanwhile, you’ll get the most out of the action combat with the Deathadder’s higher precision.

Deathadder’s M4 and M5 come in handy as they can be easily used with your thumb for those snap reaction actions, not to mention nicely spaced. It’s a fairly bulky mouse, but I find it great when you want to use a precise target skill

I love my hex. Larger hands and it’s great despite not being an oversize mouse. I use the hex keys for my Utilities and elites, with the top button behind the pad for weapon swapping.

I just don’t have any need for one of the 20 key mice offered. It would just add to the clutter and make me press things by accident.

Madcatz RAT 5 … mice are so yesterday, get the RAT.

I got a Razer Naga and returned it for a Logitech G502 Proteus Core. My issue with Razer is the profile is only on cloud storage not in your computer whereas the Logitech profile is on your computer so you have access to it no matter what. When I bought the Razer I also bought a Razer Orbweaver gamepad and another issue for me was with the Razer Synapse interface which was unbelievably kludgy to use. It would recognize either the mouse or the keypad but would not switch between the two no matter what I did. Also I could program a key easy enough but it would not let me back to reprogram or change anything. I had to remove the Synape program and redownload it only to have it work once and then no longer recognize one of the two devices (it was random which device it would pick each time). A check of Razer support shows very limited customer service and little to no info on the FAQs. For a product to be that frustrating out of the box was disappointing. At least with Logitech I could find an answer to any issues I have ever had by checking their FAQs and their forum.

I’ve owned three razor deathadders during the years all three began to doubleclick constantly and had other major issues for me (Razer Synapse is actually terrible), so i was tired of all of their products breaking within 6 months of use when i’m gentle with them but continuous (Even the mousepad i bought came apart)
As a guy who games all day every day, eventually your peripherals get this kind’ve gamer gunk, razer had a massive issue with this when i used their products as they’re hydrocoating is less than optimal, i’ve never had this problem once with my corsair mouse, and the keys are so tightly interlocked nothing gets inside.

Look, this thing was the best purchase i made about last fall, this thing feels solid (metal chassis, not plastic) doesn’t get nasty, and the key feel / layout is pure beauty, i’ve been told by my friends with the logitech/razer high-end options about picking up the mouses to be a issue due to the side key design, so you’d aciddently hit the buttons all the time, this has none of that due to it’s ingenius design with a very nice thumb centralized layout.

My two gripes about my mouse were the software for full side button use, it’s unintuitive at first but actually works really well in theory (it does have some issues with overlap on mouse sensitivity settings with the basic windows controls)
And you must own a windows computer for it to be fully functional, the keymapping is saved onboard on the mouse though, so it’s useable on macs after initial setup.

All in all best mouse i’ve ever or will ever own, i will probably be using corsair for the rest of my life, highly recommend it.

That’s not how DPI works. DPI is the number that tells you how an inch of physical movement translates to movement on the screen. For example, my mouse is set to 1000 dpi, this means that moving my mouse an inch moves the cursor 1000 pixels.

When it comes to buying mice, there’s a few questions that you should be asking:

• Have you actually hoped that you had more mouse buttons?
• Have you actually been negatively affected by having to press buttons on your keyboard?
• How do you move your mouse? With your fingers? Or with your wrist? Maybe you move your whole forearm? Do you use your mouse in very different ways in different, equally important scenarios?

The first two questions will tell you whether you need sidebuttons. The third one should help you choosing the right shape for your mouse. A big, bulky mouse with a cooling fan is not for you if you’re using your fingers to make tiny, tiny movements on your mouse.

Essentially, you should first map out what functionality you need out of your mouse. After that, you should go test the shapes of various mice that fit the functionality needs of your mouse. Both of these are very important, as a tool that lacks functionality is a bad tool, but the same is true of a tool that makes you want to not use it.

The Naga is a good mouse, but I find it has too many buttons. The thumb just isnt comfortable. I am currently using a Deathadder and there of course is another problem – too few buttons, lol. I wish I had a couple more… and a pinkie rest.

If you got a smaller hand, look at the Logitech eqvivalents. Personally I have grown out of them (only worn down some 6ish MX5xx series in my youth).

Another endorsement here for the Logitech G600. I have nothing but good things to say about this mouse.

You will be able to save game profiles and the buttons are very intuitive. To boot, I have owned and heavily used this mouse for GW2 for a year and a half and haven’t had a single issue!
