Mailing my other account
I had trouble mailing my excess gold back to my main account also. Got a message about restrictions.
Do you have personal guild with storage and a guild bank? Your alt needs to be a member for 3 days but then it can put items and gold in your guild bank for your main to pick up. If you get a rejection, try smaller amounts of gold. (I got a rejection with 8 gold so I put in 1 gold 8 times).
kitten . didn’t even think about the guild bank.
I tried 1 gold but got the same message and with the “excessive messaging” thing didn’t feel like sending a bunch of 50 silvers
Thanks (kitten is D. the letter E. Followed by an R, then a P

Sorry, wasn’t clear. I meant I tried putting 8 gold in the guild bank, got a reject but was able to get around it with putting in 1 gold at a time.
New accounts have limits that ease over time. Have you tried adding the accounts to each others friend lists?
iirc they added the limit based on what that account has legit earned over a period of time. Less restrictive later on.
Could try leveling to 80 in EotM then run a quick dungeon or two to ease things up or just ignore transferring for a while. Actually thinking about that, could also solo/4 man some dungeons to give the account exp/gold.
I did the same thing. The restrictions will ease, but still find you can only mail about 3 ‘letters’ per day. So I put what I really want in the first….mats and gold to make sure that one will get through. Haven’t been able to mail more than 20 gold at one time so far…
It’s nothing to do with the NPE. It’s a restriction put in to make buying new accounts less desirable to gold sellers.
As a result no one knows exactly what you have to do to lift the restrictions because Anet won’t say, so gold sellers can’t find ways around it.
But using it like a normal account, levelling a character, completing achievements and story/dungeons/maps etc. and getting gold, karma XP etc. as a result will help.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I solved the restrictions by using a personal guild.
Sigh.
And now my new account is blocked from getting emails from my old account (too many items mailed to it, I guess) for the last 24 hours and presumably until I play and level more, which may be awhile since I have stuff to do on my main account.
Thank goodness for guild banks.
