Make WvW Upgrading a Pot-Luck
People who cannot afford the upgrades should not be qqing about them imo. I am one person and I will upgrade what I want upgraded by myself.
Well, besides the lucky people with enough money to feel OK to pay for upgrades themselves, the current system is pretty exclusionary and at the whim of those who do have the mullah.
I am quite poor by most level 80 standards but will throw upgrades that I think are necessary. Many many times I will see my investment lost in a matter of minutes. But did it serve it’s purpose? Sometimes yes.. it delayed the enemy. Sometimes no. Depending on the size of the zerg that came.
When more and more people hit 80 I think upgrading costs won’t be such a strain.
i stopped upgrading things when i realized 40 aussies > upgrades.
I think it is a good idea though… Just have an open pool kind of thing. If you want to pay all the 50s for an upgrade, you can do it. Just like the current system. But if you are short on cash, you could dump 10s, and another person another 10s, etc, etc, and get the stuff built. I like the idea, and it does play more into the “cooperative” and “community” aspect.
I also think it would be too hard to control the variables. Who gets to decide what gets upgraded and when? If it’s automatic it could be at the worst possible time. IE: upgrading a castle that is low on supplies and being attacked.

I understood from what the OP said, is that you would get a list of available upgrades, and you put your money towards an specific one. So you can fully pay for one upgrade if you want, or partially pay for one if low on cash. That’s my take on it. If the system decided what to upgrade, I would not like that either…
