How do I do this and whats the rough output? I honestly know very, very little of pve. I’m that weirdo that plays PvP and WvW exclusively. Idk how to get to SW, what any reqs are…if I could get 100% rundown of what it is, where it is, how it works, how I make money, and any other pertinent information- I’d be extremely appreciative. Someone said making 100g a week wasn’t hard in this place, thats the reason I’m asking.

Silverwaste is one big meta event with 4 forts spread on the map (Amber, Red Bastion, Indigo Cave and Blue Oasis). You have a orange bar that fill up with each event someone complete on the map. It can be to retake a fort, defend it, help rebuild defenses, escort some supply, kill a veteran, etc. Usually you try to have a small group of people defending each forts and some other doing event in between the forts. When the bar is full, the breach happen. There is kitten in each of the 4 forts and you can jump in to kill a boss. Indigo have 2, the rest have only 1. You get a reward for killing the boss and if all 5 are dead before the timer run out you get a bigger reward. After that the Vinewrath event start. There you have 3 lanes that need to defense a carrier that try to cut down a path to the VW. Each lanes go one by one to kill a boss. If a lane fail, the next lane will try to kill the same boss. When all 3 bosses are dead the VW die and you get a big chest plus some smaller chest. After that there is a couple of champion on the map and often a small zerg go kill them and finally the labyrinth open. In the labyrinth you can try to open all the small chest and in the middle there is a big chest where you can use the Nightmare key you reveive from the breach and VW. Then the map reset again.

There is 2 ways to get gold from this place.
- Chest Farming. You can find those in the LFG. Over the map, there is buried chest and you can get shovels from events. When you go on a chest farm, some people use their shovel and everybody can open the chest. Depending if people have shovels and you have a good commander you can gain a fair amount of gold. If I remember it’s between 12 and 20gold per hours. You gain almost no gold, but a lot of material and a couple of rare. The gold reward depend mostly on your map and what you decide to do with the material. You need key to open those chest and you get those with Bandit Crest. So you can’t just do chest farm after chest farm. At some point you gonna need to make some events to gain more crest and refill your keys. You need between 30-45 key in one run so make sure you have enough at all time.

- The Greater nigthmare key are also a good source of reward. A couple of months ago the breach failed on a regular basis and the VW took some time to complete. But now, people are better at it and they both go fast. If you can find a map at like 90%, the you probably gonna get the most reward from that compare to a chest farm. The problem is that you won’t be able to find several map at 90% back to back, while if you find a good chest farm map, you can farm for a very long time.

Sw is part of the map in Maguuma Wastes, go northwest area of Brisban Wildlands just at the edge of the map. Once you are there, you will see there are 4 fortresses that needs to be defended from mordrem in order to acivate major event where ypu have different lanes with players and enterances to bosses. Every boss has different strategies to defeat them so juat follow what everyone is doing you’ll underatand it quick enough. If your map manages to beat all the bosses, you get excess to large chest, along with some loot, you’ll get a key that opens another chest in labirinth. Labirinth in also in sw, and it’s kind of mini game, you can unlock big chest in the middle of it and then hunt little chests trought labirinth while running from unkillable scary mordrem dogs

Second thing you need to know, by doing eventa on the map you gain crests, sw currency and with them you can buy keys (used to open hidden chests scattered all over the map) and also you may get shovels and with them you can reveal hidden chests with loot.

Most profitable thing you can do is sw chest run, bring around 40 keys per run, and find a map with people doing it (via lfg) but usually after killing vinewrath bosses chest farm follows. That means people bring their showels and dig out chests (and the leader usually with a tag knows locations of all chests) and everyone can loot it. You can see on the map when somebody dug out the chest because you’ll see that red flashy location ping like in pvp when somebody calls location.

I agree with Zackie, on youtube you’ll find guides with information that words just can’t describe or makes it much easier.
You find video guides with chest routes, location and order of the defense events, where to position on boss battles and so on.
The only best thing that Zackie could have done is link a video.

Summary:
1. Go to a fort
2. Do events at fort to get crests and shovels
3. Use crests to buy Bandit Keys
4. Join a Chest Train until you run out of keys and shovels
5. Repeat steps 1-4

in order to keep the farming moving, you don’t have to stay in the entirety of an event to get credit. it is fairly easy to get gold rewards on these events. don’t tie yourself to one fort.

start in the south, escort the red supply, defend red until amber and indigo supply start. escort them both a little ways out, continue to defend indigo, escort blue, defend blue, and head down to amber to clean up. rinse, repeat, killing vet or elite mob events along the way.

as long as you take part, you can chain together events fairly quickly here.

also: kill dust. these little mobs drop onyx and charged lodestones which can sell for quite a profit.

just because someone’s reply is short doesn’t mean its " well duhh google it" . In my case, it’s actually the best solution to his problem, short simple and sweet. But condesending people like you only think negatively of other people’s answers if they ain’t to your taste.

thats like telling smart people that they are bad at something because they could solve problems easily instead of going the long standard way.

also, i don’t think it should matter where he asked it, forums youtube whatever, he asked a question and he got the best answer from me.

Lastly, to the informed newbies who are interested in Silverwaste farm, it would bode you well to go youtube and search for a comprehensive guide instead of reading bits and parts from people here.
