Hi there, a few months ago there was a trick to transmute legendaries with white weapons to make them account bound.

Does this still work?

It still works, yes. It has also been improved on in that you can use Transmutation Splitters to restore the legendary back to full legendary status.

1. Transmute legendary to white item
2. Move white item to appropriate character
3. Use Transmutation Splitter on transmuted legendary to get back a soulbound but untransmuted legendary.

The catch, of course, is the price of the Transmutation Splitters, which are 300 gems each.

Or you know.. Anet could just make them truly account bound to give them one more factor that’ll make people want them. It’s not exactly gamebreaking given the time and money needed for one, and if you go through THAT much effort for a legendary you should be allowed to use it across the account on every character that can wield it.

Thanks Falunel, i just tried it and can confirm it still does work as of 25 september. I ran around with meteorlogicus on my guardian for about 6 months and now gave it to my necro.
