Q:
Manually joining overflow to play with friends from another server?
For the time being, there’s no way to do it. In time, they plan to introduce the “guesting” feature that will let you do that, but I guess they’re waiting to get some other things fixed before that:
“In time, we’ll also introduce free “guesting,” which will allow players to visit other worlds as guests as long as they have friends on those worlds. This feature will be free, but guest players will not be able to enter World vs. World, and the Power of the Mists bonuses from their home world will continue to apply to their characters.”

wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
I could be wrong but I don’t think you can play with people from other “servers”.
BUT I have the problem of not being able to group with my friends even tho we are on the same server but get stuck in different overflows or what ever. Is that what your talking about?
It’s a real pain and makes grouping more work then it’s worth
grebber, you can play with people on any server. Currently the only ways to do this are to join an overflow together (the overflow is a combination of all servers, not just yours) or to enter a dungeon together.
Also, if you are in a different overflow you can just right click on the other party member’s portrait and do “Join in” and it’ll take you to their overflow directly. You are never locked out from playing with friends.
Currently, you canndo it, but you can click on their name and click "join player." The game will match you with their overflow zone.
Hmmmm I tried right clicking my party member and there was no option saying “join” anything. Must be a bug?
But it is cool you can play with friends on different servers tho
It says “Join in Zone Name” where “Zone Name” is the name of your current zone. You both have to be in the same zone and it only works on the person in overflow (you cannot do the “Join in” on someone NOT in overflow).
of the almost 100 hours i have played so far, i spent 99 of it in Overflow. i like overflow, because i don’t like getting back into overflow after zoning in a normal server.
“Overflow” has a nice ring to it, as well. It’s nice being the billionth player over capacity – it feels good, like i just won a contest. don’t put me in the regular servers. i like this server.
