Map Completion Help Needed
I took my map completion slow, maybe one or two maps a day (not counting cities which I did about half in one day). Did a few with my friend too. Also helps to have a podcast or something in the background to listen to while doing it.
Simple, if I set foot in a map, be it for leveling, or PS/LS. I go and do everything in that map. And most maps.don’t take that long to finish, its about an hour a map, if your lucky with events for hearts. I quite enjoy it. I did my first one at launch, and slowly doing my second with my guard in-between playing some PvP, and leveling alts.its amazing how much I forgot I had seen.

Not too keen on map completion only take part when I need the gifts but the method that works best for me is when I can commit a few hours to game play in one day.
I tend to do 25% then do some other bits such as PvP or dungeons then do another 50% before finishing the last 25% later that night or the following day. This way it doesn’t feel like a grind.
I’m currently working on my necro and completing about five maps a week in as little as an hour overall map exploration per map. I tend to not linger on hearts that take forever and come back to them once they’ve refreshed with stuff I can interact with or kill.
I’ve done it 8 times and I’m working on my 9th. ^^
I do all the good reward maps first, the ones that give you exotics, and get them out of the way. Then I do the maps I like the best. After that, it gets harder. One thing I do is to do at least one thing when I go to a map for another reason, even if it’s only a vista or poi. This helps to make a map easier to do when you look at it one day and realize you only have a few percent left. Another thing I do is set a timer. I will set one for 15 to 30 minutes depending on how I feel, and do map completion for that amount of time. Once the timer goes off I’m free stay and do some more or leave. Setting a time limit helps me to work on it as I know it has a definite finish and leave time.
ANet may give it to you.

Agree with flesh wound, get the tough stuff out of the way first, then just chip away by regions. (Shiverpeaks, Kryta, etc.). If you do too much at one time, the gears will no doubt grind. Do a map at your own pace and enjoy the rest of the game in between.

if it feels like a grind stop. I’ve done 10 completions and am at 80 something percent on my 11th. i still enjoy it and it doesn’t feel like a grind to me.
