I have completed everything that shows up when I google it, but there is 1 thing missing. And I cannot for the life of me figure out what it is! Does anyone have any idea what I am missing for the title “Been there done that”?

Check for chantry of secrets

I have that one.

Go back to the Chantry again, just in case. Sometimes going back triggers it.

activate the content guide and go to each map

also check for blurred zones a the edges of each map

Also remember to check cities! I almost missed Hoelbrak when I did map completion.

According to the note on bugs on this page, you may have to revisit the Chantry of Secrets to get the achieve to trigger. There is also a list of other areas that may be what you are missing. Good luck!

guys he/she is not trying to finish the normal map completion but instead the
exploration of all zones … meaning he has to be in every zone of each map at least once to discover it

Hmm .. for explorer rather than completion you need all the white-named zones, even if they don’t have any completion items in them. Some of those got added over time, eg in NW Brisban next to the Gallowfields there is a Guild Mission Thingie (a Puzzle?) that you can walk into the alcove behind the wp to discover. It could be something like that you’re missing.

If you have two monitors, put the wiki up on one with your game map open on the other and compare each and every map for the white names. Hopefully at some point in the comparison you’ll find one you missed.

Or it could be a bug, given that they are working on issues with double-listings of some white name areas. Fingers crossed that you have simply missed one of the edge bits.

OP said they’re missing one from completing Been There, Done That which is “normal map completion”. The first screenshot also shows that they’re at 99/100 for Been There, Done That. Their second screen shot shows that they have the Tyria explorer achievements all completed.

Krytan/Orr/Ascalon/Maguuma explorer achievements are awarded for revealing the map ie just walking into the zone. Essentially removing the fog of war. Those achieves don’t require poi/HP/JP vista/hearts, so there’s still 1 thing missing for map completion.

Do you have all of the Tyrian jumping puzzle achievements? Some of those are their own area without PoI to let you know they’re there.
Did you go through the story and see Claw Island? Dumb question but I have had friends ignore the story completely.

Claw Island’s POI doesn’t count for map completion / Been There Done That – you can get 100% without doing any personal story.

I missed the puzzle in Mount Maelstrom, the one in north west close to the waypoint.

The POI on Claw Island definitely doesn’t count for map completion / Been There Done That – I have a character that has got to 100% map completion without doing any personal story.

The 4 regions on Claw Island (Lion’s Mane, Western Strait, Sorrow’s Bay & Fort Stalwart) do, however, count for the Krytan Explorer achievement.

OP, have you tried going into each map and looking for a heart/HP/vista/POI that is incomplete?

My hunch is you’re missing a heart, because it has a slightly different behavior to the others. Whereas everything else will have their icon revealed when you “un-fog” its particular area within the map, heart icons only get revealed if you enter its zone (the area where you can complete its objectives) or talk the the scout associated with it. I’ve had several instances where I had sworn I finished a zone only to find a random heart that I didn’t discover.

You can open the map and look at the list to see what is missing.
