Map Completion Yaks Bend Borderlands?
hmmm, nope. First off al, when you change server it needs to be a payed transfer and not guesting. Secondly you need to wait for the first cycle and it is very likely that you have another borderland by then. Just wait a few cycles (weeks)and eventually the maps will have rotated. Ow and keep checking each day.

That doesn’t work on all servers, unfortunately. I’m on Sorrow’s Furnace and we’ve been green for what seems like months now.
It seems to me that there will be less and less change between the server ranks as time goes on, making it more difficult for newer characters to get map completion.
FYI, the maps and rankings change on Fridays, so that might be a good time to take a look at the layout.
