Is it just me or map travel costs WAY too much. I never use it except for when I die.
Is it supposed to be so or am I just too poor ?

I think it’s supposed to be expensive enough that you don’t use it without a good reason, but cheap enough that it’s not a problem when you do.

So for example you’re supposed to use it when you die or when you want to join up with friends to do a dungeon, but not when you’re out exploring the back end of a map and suddenly decide you feel like crafting instead.

Also remember that if you’re going past at leasy 1 city you can save a lot by using the gates. (Use the PVP tab to go to the Heart of the Mists, gate to LA, then to the nearest city.)

i dont find it expensive at all. the price depends on your current level, but every time you level up, you will also be fighting stronger monsters and getting better loot.

i am currently level 48. the closest waypoint for me cost 68 copper.
a lvl46 (fine) weapon is sold for 63 copper. and i get loads of them

it is not like you need to save up money to use waypoints, right?
