Guild Wars 2

Hello, I’ve been wanting to participate in the “Triple Trouble” event for a few days now, but have been unable to descry a full server. Each time I try, it clears out and I am given the option to move to another instance with more players where the meta event has failed.
For my own reasons, I will not use Teamspeak, so I am hoping to find somebody or a small band of players that would be willing to let me shadow them. If this is not possible, are there any friendly guilds (not TTS) that are okay with my playing with them? I am not looking to join a guild because of the Teamspeak issue, but to participate in the event with them.
I’ve been reading about how the event works, and watching videos. I understand that it requires communication and timing.

Times that I have access to Guild Wars 2: 10:00am -10:00pm GMT+10 (no DST).

Doing TTW without using TS will be more or less impossible. Every organized run requires it (you do not have to speak, but you need to be able to listen), simply because it takes time to organize and people don’t want to fail because someone don’t know what is going on.

It is possible, but just following someone will not give you the information about when to do what and so on, especially considering that things could change rather quickly during the course of the battle, and people won’t have time to type explanations for that in chat.

Nonsense…if you know what to do at which part of the event, it is perfectly fine to join in and stroll along. No need for TS or whatever program.

And then something unexpected happens and the group fails due to that (such as the wurm running away due to someone being too slow to ball up on the tag and so on).

Reading about/watching something doesn’t make you automatically know exactly what the commander is saying or what is being planned, especially when something unexpected happens.

Not to mention the whole issue with syncing the health of the bosses in order to make sure everyone goes down at once. People are usually rather bad at looking at the event information after all.

You don’t have to even speak or own a mic to use TS to participate in events like this. All you have to do is listen. And pretty much any map with a chance at succeeding will be using some form of voice coms to set things up, and they’ll also meet up around 30 minutes before the event starts. As a side note, I was a member of TTS for a few months. I did events with them often, and I never had any troubles with them.

I’m not OP, but it took me 2 months of nagging my ISP for them to actually deliver close to their advertised bandwidth the last time I went toe-to-toe with them. That was the 3rd time I’d had to do it, too. I still lag out and dc, usually at critical moments that will determine if I get a reward.

Connection stability is far from a guarantee, particularly now that ANet seems to be having connection issues of its own, and I seriously don’t need anything else clogging my interwebz. That said, I’ll risk TS for this situation and this one alone, but I’ve only done it successfully once.

Just so I remember with the time converted: Thursday, 5 February 2015 at 1:00:00 PM. It should be a time I am able to make as long as don’t lollygag whilst shopping.

Yes that’s correct, look forward to seeing you out there Keep in mind we are just getting started so we might not get to all 3 heads but last week we had about 70ish people and took a shot a 2. We need a bit of work but it is coming along nicely and everyone is genuinely there to help each other.
