I was attempting the gauntlet today and after maybe 5 deaths and saying ty for being rezzed there I could no longer talk. These were not back to back and I was not saying anything else in chat so it seems a little extreme and after 10 mins I still cannot talk in chat. Is this a bug or is this really how message suppressing works- 5 ty in a 10 min span and I can no longer talk?

The system tries to recognize you saying the same or similar thing over and over again, rather than a lot of things close together, though I think it recognizes spam, too.

The easiest way to avoid it is to keep changing how you say thank you, which I know sounds absurd, but there we go.

It’s more for suppressing Gold Sellers, I believe, than anything else.

I think one of the things that makes suppression kick in is saying the exact same thing over and over. Even if that thing is separated by periods of time.

Try mixing it up. Say thanks in other ways than just “ty” every time.

Ah ok that makes more sense that it was the same thing than the amount of times said.. I will keep that in mind thanks for the replies
