Just curious if Molten Tools are still available to purchase with gems. I got 1500 gems the other day so yeah, hopefully able to purchase those.

Also, in your opinion, what is the best/quickest way to make Gold? My personal opinion would be dungeons or possibly farming.

All the infinite tools will become available for purchase again at some point. Only ANet would know when and even they might not be sure of the exact time depending how things get decided. Since they all cost the same the best one to buy is the watchwork pick.

The best way to make gold would involve the trading post but that also has the greatest risk. Best safe method is probably dungeons since it is the only one with guaranteed reward.

each infinite tool takes around 325,000 gatherings to recoup the cost of buying it. at 4 hr/day, gathering from 1 ore node (3 gatherings) every minute, it would take 451 days to recoup the cost. At that point, you will have gathered roughly 1,300 stacks of ore. If it’s platinum ore, you can sell it for about 5,500g after taxes.
moral of the story: only buy infinite tool for convenience.
