What would be the class with best survivability in solo pve?

mesmer – sword+focus/staff- with any immortal build variant

Does that apply to leveling too or just lvl 80? I’ve read that mesmers are a pain to level?

just lvl80. leveling is pain

i mean you can still solo champions even on low level. its just that damage output is low and it takes very long

Right, well I was looking at this mostly from leveling perspective.

Warrior or necro. If you have a good skills guardian. If you’re very very good mesmer or thief. These would be my advices.

Ranger if you like ranged class or Guardian if you like melee. Both are darn near un-killable in pve if you’re even semi-competent.

I’m on my 2nd Guardian, lol. Good class for solo.

From my experience of Mesmer/Warrior/Ele/Thief to 80 and leveling the others are lower levels, I’d say Rangers seem to have the best survivability.

Man, I have no idea why ppl say mesmers are a pain to level. Im not saying I have amazing skill or anything but my guard, ranger, warrior, thief, mesmer were all equally easy to level. The only class I found hardish to level was necro. And not because of survivability or anything but just because I find its gameplay while leveling fairly boring.

If by ‘a lot’ you mean ‘one’ and by ‘experience’ you mean ‘rifle’ then yes.

Once you have enough experience with the game class is completely irrelevant. You should also make dying a learning experience. You don’t necessarily have to do anything about it but if you start to see a pattern it should become obvious what you should fix.
