Guild Wars 2

Hi, I’m new to GW2. I played for a few days, and decided $50 was worth experiencing the game in full, with no limitations. In all other MMOs I play DPS specs. This game seems to allow many different builds allowing classes to play multiple roles; at least it seems. However I’m just looking for a viable DPS profession that is very well rounded in PvP, and PvE content. I so far have played ranger, and warrior. I enjoy both, and I’m not asking for a “it’s your personal preference” type of answer. I want to know what DPS specs are viable throughout most/all content. Thanks in advance!

Atm balance between dps classes is kinda nice so indeed u can play w/e u prefer. It used to be tempest or nothing but now the options are open.

I’ve seen a lot of comments about how revenant is NOT the profession to play as currently. Can’t confirm (since I play both casually and, for reasons, can’t access the game), so take that with as much salt as needed, but people are saying it.

Most specs are good across all content just depending on your play style. Some are easier solo than others if that’s your preference. As you said you like playing dps I wouldn’t recommend ele as it’s been pushed into the healer/support role in pvp.
