Guild Wars 2

Currently i’m using a i7-2600 cpu and wonder if it’s worth upgrading to a i7-4930k or i7-4770k? Also do i need a new motherboard if i get one of these?

There’s no reason to upgrade to either of those; your 2600 is fine. If you did upgrade, you would need a new mobo.

Both of the processors you listed are at least 10% faster. Also K variety chips have significantly more overclocking options. GW2 is also CPU bound in most instances so you will probably notice the difference… enough to justify the price is up to you.

I run this game with the 4770k, and it doesn’t even break a sweat, as for the cpu slots, i think the 2600 is an LGA 1155, where the 4770k is 1150 so you would need a new mobo
