No.

Message Body length must at least be 15.

No mounts. They’re not really necessary with the game’s waypoint system (and speed buffs help to make what running there is a little faster).

It’s a dead issue.
One word “search” oops nevermind, I forgot the search funtion here is ‘virtually’ useless.
It’s likely the worst search tool ever on any forum.

Yes, the search sucks. BUT even from the forum home page, simply typing “mount” into the search box would have returned his answer…. (lots, and lots of results)

I tried that just now. Got 3 results, all dated June 25th. None of them mount threads, they just happened to have that word on a post.

The fact that people keep asking for mounts is proof that the waypoint system and speed boosts aren’t enough to satisfy. Personally, I find the broom and drill that’s sold in the gem store insulting. That’s like giving a starving man a peppermint and expecting it to keep him alive.

And the fact that people ask for Trinity, Raids, new gear tiers, maybe even a higher level cap, open world PvP is also proof that the current game is not enough to satisfy everyone.

However .. the more people GW2 tries to satisfy, the more they will loose because it turns more to just another generic EQ-Clone that a lot of people don’t wanted. And it is maybe harder to loose the fans of the original game than to satisfy some MMO-Locusts a month longer.

The lack of a lot of those “typical mmo” features are why I like GW so much. I don’t care for raiding. I don’t care for mounts (not to mention they wouldn’t fit into the lore). I sure as hell don’t want open world pvp. I seriously don’t understand why people are so against allowing something to be different. If they don’t like it, they can play something that they do like!

So…basically you want anet to cater to your demands and your demands only. You’re ignoring the fact that a lot of people do want it. Also, just because you don’t “care for them” doesn’t mean that they can’t be implemented or shouldn’t be implemented. Tsk tsk…you’re one sellfish person (see what I did there?).

From the other perspective, you are requesting a feature that is not needed at all and would require significant resources to develop, test and release. All those resources could be put toward features that could actually be useful or fixing existing issues in the game. From my point of view, your request is very selfish and short sighted.

How would mounts in any way enhance the game (beyond the BLING factor)? Answer that with a thoughtful and meaningful list of reasons and we long time GW2 players will consider the request seriously.
