No matter what mouse I use (bought one new and have several at home) when I play GW2 the device manager will popup in tray saying unrecognized. Note I’m still running Windows Vista. I do not have a virus nor have a caught one in recent past. I recently defragged and used CCleaner to get rid of a build up of appdata shadowcopies but that should not affect anything.
To fix I’m trying to upgrade to Windows 7 but Microsoft doesn’t recognize the Intel Processor I’m using and I don’t know how to proceed. I thought maybe Vista (bad file somewhere?) itself is failing and Window 7 would detect my mouse better. http://postimg.org/image/4w3msannv/
Yeah it isn’t the USB port I’m kinda aware of something simple like that to try.
Well, I got the problem solved. Because I own a Dell I was able to receive a free trail repair from IOLO System Mechanic working now with Dell thru the Dell site for promotional purposes. I usually think the repair programs are a scam but it actually worked. $30 if I want to buy it but I’m poor so we’ll see.
So problem solved – computer fixed.
Thx for being brave enough to try and help me. I can be a grumpy little shyytte, lol. Not the easiest guy to help when things break.

My mouse also d/c’s while playing Sims 2 and Minecraft. Sometimes it randomly d/c when playing nothing at all. People on microsoft forums are saying that if you have a Logitech mouse and a Logitech webcam and are running Window Vista 64 home premium this issue occurs. Tho I’ve run both Logitech cam and mouse for more than a year without a problem so I have my doubts.
