Well I use the same system and in my experience the courser won’t change position after it disappeared, so once you get used to it and know where your courser disappeared, you also know where your skill will go. Also I just don’t move the camera when I’m targeting.

The latest change to ground targeting options has improved this a bit.

When you press the skill key the ring cursor appears so you can see it clearly to position it. On release, the skill fires.

I find this is fast and convenient.

I believe this is the Fast with Range Indication option. My suggestion would be to use the movement keys ‘A S W D’ in combination with the right mouse button to focus the camera on your enemy, since its kind of a bad idea to rely on either one. If youre still resolute in using Instant Ground Targeting, you could possibly use the strafe keys ‘Q E’ instead of right-mouse to move around so that your camera would still be focused on your enemy.
