Guild Wars 2

I am trying to figure this out, but have only found bits and pieces of information.

I have a guild on the Fort Aspenwood world. Many of my members are on Crystal Desert, so I am thinking about moving the guild over there.

What do I need to do this? Do I need to:
1. Kick everyone off the current guild. (And that might be a problem, as I made one person a leader, but they do not seem to play anymore.)
2. Disband the guild (which I might not be able to do if I cannot kick everyone off.)
3. Change worlds when I login.
4. Create the guild on the new world.
5. Invite everyone.

Or are steps 1-2 not necessary? Somewhere I read that another guild may have the same guild name on multiple servers to support players on multiple servers, so maybe I do not have to worry about 1-2.

Okay…so when changing a guild to another world, it is actually fairly simple.

As a Crystal Desert member I’d be happy to help you out here. So for one, the members you have on CD already have already been gaining influence, for the CD version of the guild only. Guilds are universal, and even one player in a server by themselves gains influence for the guild, but only on that server, and only people on that server gain spend the influence. So, you don’t have to disband the guild, or anything like that. Just switch worlds and have everyone else do the same, and you are good to go! You will lose all upgrades you have earned though and have to re-do them.

Also, if your guild is interested at all in WvW make sure to give the Synergy Alliance a look!

About losing the upgrades, it is not accurate, the upgrades will remain in the server where they were created, if you ever return to that server, they will be there. If some of the players want to remain in that server, they can still use the upgrades and if they do, they just need permission to use the upgrades that require it. The upgrades are server content so you will have to start from scratch in a new server, only talking about the upgrades. Your guild exists in all servers, it only has 0 members and influence. You can have upgrades in more than one server at the same time, you just need people in that server to gain influence.
