Q:
i have had guildwars2 for quite some time now and still haven’t stuck to a profession. i have tried everything apart from guardian (they don’t really appeal to me) and cant really decide still. i don’t want to have multiple characters that i have to deal with and i want to play through with a profession that is easy and fun to play first up . i will now describe a little on my class situation
at the moment im a warrior. i mainly use longbows because i love the feel of it and i will defiantly be using that mostly in pvp to be more of a sneaky hide and shoot style assistance to the team. i like the look of warhammer (have not tried it yet) and dual axes seem ok. i like the banners and some of his skills but im not sure if i should continue with the warrior. its pretty fun but i dont want to get to a high levl and think “should of made something else”
i was thinking necro a while ago because there pets seem amazing and everything but im still not too sure
i originally was going to roll a thief. and if i did i would most likely be a shortbow theif because i would want to be that kind of hide and shoot assist guy like i said in the warrior description up there but thief seems better for it. but they seem a lot harder to get use to
Ive tried elementalist and just didn’t like the fact i have a lot of skills to choose from and i had to keep swapping attunements. im a really simple mmo gamer and it takes me a while to get the hang of things
i tried engineer but got bored of it but im thinking of going back. just the fact you get soo much to use with it support wise and some of the skills (like elixir gun) seem mad. only problem is when i was playing as one. i wasn’t really doing too well in the damage depart meant. i used stuff like dual pistols and pistol and shield and even the grenade kit but i don’t know it didn’t seem to great. i kinda like a lot of aoe moves and they didn’t seem to have any.
i even thought ranger but im not too keen on them because they remind me too much of wow hunters. i just cant get into them enough to dedicate time into one just yet
as i said im a simple gamer. i don’t understand the game too well and i wanna be mainly pvp but dont understand that either so please help to pick a class that is good for my play style. i like melee and ranged so that’s why im having fun with warrior but im not too fussed on just range or just melee. thanks for your time to read this
