So some research and I think I’m suppose to have all of the same kind of rune on every piece of armor. But how do I take runes off armor? Why is armor sets so mismatched with no runes alike on auction?

You can use a high level salvage kit (Masters Salvage Kit, Mystic Salvage Kit, Black Lion Salvage kit etc.) to remove a rune IF you no longer need the armour piece and as long as it was not bought with karma or badges of honor.

Otherwise it’s just easier to buy or craft the rune set you want and put it onto the armour. The new runes will overwrite any previous runes.
