Guild Wars 2

When I open my Map, it doesn’t show the NPC symbols. I just bought the game.

They’re hidden on new accounts for fear of confusing new players.

You’ll unlock them through levelling up, or you can open your map, click the little eye symbol in the bottom left corner and select what you want displayed.

Open the map. In the lower left corner there is an eye. Click on that and select what icons you want to see.

While Danikat is right, the game now tries to not info dump on a new character, it doesn’t mean that they are completely denied.
