No, it’s not possible from your side to hide your name. Possibly because of WvW and PvP where it would allow people to sneak up on others too easily and it would be difficult to tell friend from foe without a name plate.
Quick question. Is it at all possible to hide your name(as overhead text) from other people? Basically the opposite of the option to show all player names. It’s so I can transform into a piece of furniture or a tree/bush/etc and not have people know that it’s a player.
