I had made a character to save a name. Do I need to wait a certain amount of time between the deletion of the saved name character and creating the new one and using that name? I remember in another game I played that you had to wait 48 hrs before that name was available for use after deletion

No, in fact it’s the opposite. You have 24hrs to reuse the deleted characters name before it goes back into circulation and someone else could use it.

You can use the name on the same account straight away, but after 24 hours of it being unused anyone can use it.
